NMRV/NRV Worm Gear Reducer

Lightweight, High-Torque, Low-Noise Worm Gear Reducer for Industrial Machinery

The NMRV / NRV worm gear reducer, also known as the RV Worm Gear Speed Reducer, is a new-generation transmission product designed to deliver reliable torque output, compact structure, and long-service performance across a wide range of industrial applications. Developed based on advanced design concepts and manufacturing technology commonly adopted by leading global motion solution brands—such as Siemens, Delta Electronics, Yaskawa, and Panasonic Industrial Devices the NMRV series worm gear reducer ensures stable operation, excellent heat dissipation, and broad installation flexibility.

Compared with traditional cast-iron worm gearboxes, the NMRV Worm Gear Reducer is specially engineered with an aluminum alloy housing, delivering a lightweight, corrosion-resistant solution that is widely favored in conveyor systems, packaging machinery, food processing equipment, CNC accessories, and automation systems.

The NMRV Series Worm Gear Reducer is designed using high-precision worm-gear transmission structure, optimized tooth geometry, and multi-position mounting capability. It achieves smooth running, low noise level, and high torque density in a compact, modern housing.

  • Lightweight & Corrosion-Resistant Aluminum Housing
    The body of frame sizes 025 to 090 is made from high-quality die-cast aluminum alloy, offering:
    Rust-free performance;
    Lightweight design for easy handling;
    Better appearance and modern industrial aesthetics;
    Excellent cooling efficiency;
    For heavier-duty applications, frame sizes 110–150 adopt a robust cast-iron housing for higher strength and load capacity.
  • High Output Torque
    The NMRV series worm gear reducer is engineered with high-precision worm shafts made from 20Cr alloy steel, carburized and quenched to ensure:
    Surface hardness of 56–62 HRC;
    Strong load-bearing capability;
    Large torque output at low speeds;
    Extended service life of the gear set;
    The worm wheel uses tin bronze (stannum bronze) for superior wear resistance and long-term durability.
  • Smooth, Quiet & Reliable Operation
    Due to its optimized worm-gear geometry, the NMRV delivers:
    Stable and shock-absorbing transmission;
    Extremely low noise (ideal for indoor and low-noise machinery);
    Smooth running even under fluctuating loads;
    Reduced mechanical stress for longer life cycles.
    This also makes it suitable for noise-sensitive applications such as packaging, food automation, testing equipment, and pharmaceutical machinery.
  • Full Installation Versatility
    Thanks to the compact design and modular flanges (IEC, NEMA, custom flanges), the gearbox supports:
    Horizontal, vertical, and multi-position mounting;
    Integration with servo motors, induction motors, brake motors, and gear motors;
    Easy retrofitting into existing systems.
    Manufacturers using motors from Siemens, Delta, Mitsubishi Electric, or Yaskawa can easily integrate the NMRV series into their mechanical assemblies.
  • Excellent Heat Dissipation
    The aluminum housing dissipates heat more efficiently than iron housings, preventing thermal overload—and allowing the gearbox to operate continuously in demanding conditions.
  • Durable Surface Treatment
    For aluminum alloy housings:
    Shot-blasting surface treatment;
    Special anti-corrosion coating;
    Oxidation treatment + RAL5010 Blue or Silver coating;
    Resistant to gasoline, xylene, and industrial solvents.
    For cast-iron housings:
    Red anti-rust primer;
    RAL5010 Blue finish.
    This ensures long-term protection against moisture, chemicals, and harsh factory environments.
